Unity Rising USA is a youth-led organization dedicated to making a positive, tangible difference in our communities. We believe that young people possess the power to shape the future by rejecting far-right extremist ideology and working together to make change in our communities.

We bridge the gap between progressive beliefs and real-world results. Our high school chapters help students transform their ideas into impact through informational programming, voter registration drives, and grassroots mobilization.

I felt outnumbered by conservatives at my school, but Unity Rising helped me to find my voice and speak out for what I believe in.

We give you the tools you need to lead

Starting a chapter is a big step. To help you hit the ground running, Unity Rising USA provides every official high school chapter with a comprehensive digital Action Pack.

Once you've got an event planned at your school or in your community, we'll send you one of our themed Engagement Kits including giveaways and materials to help ensure your event is successful.

Chapters can also apply for up to $200 per semester in micro-grants for important things that you might need but we can't send, like pizza and candy.

Knowledge is power. That’s why we’ve created robust educational materials to help our chapter members educate their peers. We break down complex policy into simple messaging so you don’t have to decipher tricky language. And we provide our chapters with a library of resources to ensure that they have the knowledge they need to speak confidently on the issues they care about.

Voter Registration

Our vote is our voice. That’s why we’ve designed specialized toolkits to help our chapters run effective voter registration drives. Our chapters work to ensure that every eligible student has the information they need to register to vote and make an informed decision when they cast their ballot.
Community Service

Community Service

Strong, healthy communities create opportunities for everyone to grow. That’s why we believe in giving back to the places we call home. We help each of our chapters to facilitate a yearly nonpartisan volunteer service project, partnering with a local nonprofit to do work that matters to that specific community. Our service projects aren’t about politics. They’re about building community by lending a helping hand to our neighbors.
Grassroots Action

Grassroots Action

Actions speak louder than words. We connect our chapters to our advocacy action platform, allowing them to make their voices heard and provide training on how they can take action for change in their communities. We provide our chapters with the opportunity to get involved in the electoral process by connecting them with progressive candidates who champion our values.

If you’re ready to make a positive change in your community, we want to help you succeed. Whether you are a student looking for a community, a born leader ready to organize, or a teacher who wants to empower their classroom, you’re in the right place.

No chapter at your school yet? No problem. We’ll help you start one. Here’s how:

Fill out our Start a Chapter form
Follow your school's usual process for starting a new club, activity, or group
Get at least five of your friends or classmates to join
Commit to taking action or holding a meeting as a chapter at least once a semester

That's it! After you fill out the Start a Chapter form, we'll be in touch to help finalize details and get you set up to hold your first chapter meeting, conduct voter registration drives, and plan your chapter's yearly community service project.

Teachers & Faculty: Help us facilitate the creation of a chapter at your school. As an advisor, you can help students navigate the civic process and provide a space for the next generation of leaders to grow. Unity Rising USA educational materials are nonpartisan and high school chapters will not be required to participate in partisan campaigning on campus. If you have questions, feel free to reach out.
