who's better for Arizona?
YOU DECIDE.
this year, the Arizona Republican 2025 Majority Plan promises to "protect medical freedoms", "eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse", and "promote policies to lower living costs and increase access to affordable goods." But their actions speak louder than their words, and we've got the receipts. see how the broken promises by Republicans stack up against the accomplishments of Democrats.
Republicans:
no choice
we saw from the overturning of Roe v. Wade that Republicans are determined to force themselves between a woman and her doctor despite Arizonans voting in a landslide to support a woman's right to choose. we know that "Karen" Taylor Robson as Governor will "... look for opportunities to ensure Arizona is among the strongest Pro-Life states in the country..." take her at her word. she will work to strip your rights.
Democrats:
pro choice
Katie Hobbs worked to protect access to reproductive care for women because she know that a woman's right to choose is a fundamental liberty that cannot be taken away. that's why she signed the bill that repealed Arizona's draconian 1864 abortion ban.
Republicans:
oligarchy
Republicans have admitted that they want to "take an axe" to the government bodies that Arizonans depend on -- for the sake of winning favor with Donald Trump and Elon Musk by recreating the failed federal "DOGE" initiative here in Arizona. that's not to mention the constant attacks on the security of our elections and the millions of dollars wasted by people like Steve Montenegro chasing nonexistent fraud.
Democrats:
democracy
Democrats are committed to protecting democracy by defending the vital institutions that support the growth and prosperity of Arizonans. Secretary of State Adrian Fontes is committed to protecting Arizonans from the federal government's illegal power grab. literally ensuring that everyone with the right to vote has the opportunity to vote in Arizona elections. Adrian Fontes is standing up against Russian propaganda to ensure that Arizona's elections are conducted fairly.
Republicans:
poverty wage
Republicans in the federal government are actively working to dismantle institutions that protect workers and ensure they're being fairly compensated. they also went out of their way to fight to exclude tipped workers, many of whom are among Arizona’s most vulnerable populations, from an increased minimum wage. Andy Biggs was against increasing the minimum wage while he was in Congress because he's not fighting for you.
Democrats:
living wage
Democrats will continue to advocate for workers to be compensated fairly for the value they add to our economy. Governor Katie Hobbs has always been a champion for working families. that's why she's in favor of a living wage for Arizonans, so that no one has to work two or three jobs just to stay afloat.
Republicans:
defund schools
Republicans are more worried about forcing religion into schools and getting rid of so-called “DEI” than they are about actually educating the next generation of Arizonans. they’re trying to use Arizona’s children as pawns in their culture war. Senate President Warren Peterson is so much more worried about the latest boogeyman of the far-right, DEI, than he is about doing the job that Arizonans elected him to do. yikes.
Democrats:
defend schools
Attorney General Kris Mayes is working tirelessly to protect the independence of Arizona's schools from illegal and abusive overreaching policies enacted by the federal government. Kris Mayes recognizes that every kid deserves to be able to feel safe at school. that's why she's helping schools defend their students and putting ICE on notice that they aren't welcome to operate lawlessly in Arizona.
